Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a nation-wide sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and provide coaching and guidance to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with global sales teams to identify and capitalize on international market opportunities.
  • Oversee pricing and tender operations to ensure optimal revenue and profitability.
  • Lead accurate monthly revenue forecasting and oversee rigorous weekly sales pipeline management to drive predictable growth and optimize resource allocation.
  • Assume annual budgeting process for Canada's Commercial Development team and liaise with Global CCO and team on budgeting expectations and KPIs.
  • Complete month-end variance review with each Sales and Business Development team member.
  • Lead the strategic customization and seamless integration of business-critical systems (including CRM and ERP platforms) to streamline operations, enhance data-driven decision-making, and accelerate achievement of key performance indicators.
  • Optimize and govern the Rhenus CRM system to drive team performance, ensuring alignment with global key performance indicators (KPIs) and fostering data-driven accountability across all team members.
  • Develop and maintain precise, data-driven forecasts for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance, product line profitability, and sales and marketing expenditures to guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Deliver on sales and profitability forecasts monthly.
  • Collaborate strategically with the Finance department, Country Managing Director, and Regional CEO to design and implement performance-driven sales incentive structures that align team motivation with corporate financial goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Recommend and support acquisitions and strategic partnerships opportunities.
  • Architect, execute, and monitor comprehensive performance frameworks, including team quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs), that drive sales growth, enhance customer success through education, and elevate brand visibility in the market.
  • Champion the Rhenus global network, driving cross-functional collaboration to execute and optimize corporate strategies across regional operations.
  • Oversee revenue models, operational support, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Manage the customer credit management process.
  • Provide value-added strategy consultation and analysis to meet customer requirements.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Take charge of client development and retention for a portfolio of legacy accounts.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of sales/customer service management experience required in International Freight Forwarding operations or Supply Chain Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Ocean and Air freight sales.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in writing professional sales proposals and standard operation procedures.
  • Team player with ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Ability to work under time pressures and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to train and coach others on how to perform tasks.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable using metrics to manage staff and drive improvements.
  • Strong team leadership and teambuilding abilities.
  • Excellent conflict resolution, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Persuasive, motivational, and persistent.
  • Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
  • National and International Travel will be required.
