Undergraduate Nursing Clinical Supervisor

Position Overview:
This role is integral to the Administrative Professional group at Brock University, a distinguished institution recognized as one of Canada's top comprehensive universities. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and uphold the highest standards of clinical education for undergraduate nursing students.
- Provide expert mentorship and evaluation to clinical instructors, ensuring best practices in clinical nursing.
- Maintain regular communication with clinical instructors, healthcare providers, and academic faculty to address concerns and enhance the clinical program.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of new clinical instructors.
- Support clinical instructors in implementing effective student evaluation practices.
- Collaborate with course instructors to align clinical objectives with educational strategies.
- Monitor the clinical learning environment to ensure optimal supervision and mentorship for students.
- Identify and address challenges affecting students' clinical learning experiences.
- Stay updated on nursing curriculum to ensure alignment with clinical practices.
- Facilitate continuous improvement in clinical competencies through collaboration with faculty.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with agency requirements.
- A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience and experience as a clinical instructor.
- Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong teaching and clinical skills, including knowledge of nursing legislation and safety practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $68,600 - $117,600, with a target hiring range of $75,000 - $85,000.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including tuition waiver.
