Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain high standards of clinical education for undergraduate nursing students.
- Evaluate and mentor clinical instructors to ensure adherence to best practices in nursing education.
- Engage with various stakeholders including clinical instructors, healthcare providers, and faculty to enhance the clinical program.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of new clinical instructors.
- Support clinical instructors in implementing effective student evaluation methods.
- Monitor the clinical learning environment to guarantee appropriate supervision and mentorship for students.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Department to address challenges affecting student learning and professional growth.
- Stay updated on theoretical nursing curricula to ensure alignment with clinical practices.
- Facilitate communication between faculty and clinical instructors to identify areas for improvement in student competencies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Current immunizations and compliance with agency requirements.
- A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience and experience as a clinical instructor.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- Proven teaching experience and knowledge of clinical nursing skills.
- Familiarity with nursing legislation and risk management policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant technology.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
