Role Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nursing Instructor, you will:
- Oversee students in both laboratory and clinical environments;
- Work collaboratively with Nursing Lab personnel and course instructors to design and coordinate lab activities;
- Assist in the formulation and execution of individualized student learning plans;
- Assess student performance throughout their practicum in conjunction with the student and course instructor;
- Maintain detailed and regular notes on student progress, promptly notifying the course instructor of any significant concerns;
- Grade assignments as outlined in the course syllabus;
- Organize and facilitate student meetings, including post-clinical discussions, and ensure the availability of necessary resources.
Qualifications:
- A completed Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN); a Master's degree is preferred;
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience across various settings, including medical-surgical, maternal-child, and mental health;
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Proficient in managing challenging situations and responding to emergencies;
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities;
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations.
Additional Information:
- This position is part-time and contractual;
- Opportunities are available across multiple hospital sites.
