Category Director, Haircare

At Loblaw Companies Limited, we are seeking a seasoned Category Director to lead our Haircare category. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve category objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute category strategies to meet sales, market share, and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with Format Category Teams to build category programs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead weekly category reports and LEs, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Implement product assortment, sales, and buying plans to achieve category targets.
  • Work with control label brand teams to develop innovative products that grow the brand and drive sales.
  • Deliver against control label objectives to achieve annual sales, market share, and profit targets.
  • Develop and communicate merchandising direction for each retail format.
  • Develop and implement promotions and programs to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Lead weekly store tours to ensure category execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor direct reports to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors to maximize sales and profit.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of business experience in marketing, merchandising, or pricing roles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L statements.
  • A strong understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop short- and long-term plans aligned with corporate strategies.
  • Progressive and innovative, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor direct reports and team members.
