Category Director - Haircare

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Category Director to lead the growth and success of our Haircare category. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive category strategies that drive sales, market share, and profitability.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement impactful category programs.
  • Develop and manage financial plans, including sales forecasts, buying strategies, and pricing initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead the development of compelling merchandising and promotional campaigns that enhance customer experience and drive product visibility.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors, negotiating favorable terms and fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in retail merchandising, category management, or related fields within the consumer goods industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and P&L management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
