**Job Summary**

The Category Director, Haircare, MCM HABA is responsible for driving the financial performance of the Haircare category across all formats. This role requires a strong partnership with the Format Category Teams to develop category programs, understand market trends, and drive business growth from strategy to tactics.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement category strategies to meet sales, market share, and profit objectives.
  • Work closely with the Format Category Teams to build category programs and ensure targets are met.
  • Responsible for weekly category reports and LE's by category, including Other Vendor Income.
  • Implement product assortment, sales, and buying plans to achieve category targets.
  • Develop and communicate merchandising direction for each retail format for assigned category.
  • Develop and implement promotions and programs for the assigned category.
  • Lead weekly store tours to ensure category execution.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor direct reports to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the vendor community to maximize sales and profit.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth.

**Requirements**

  • 5-7 years of business experience in marketing, merchandising, or pricing role.
  • Excellent communication skills up, down, and across the enterprise.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L statements.
  • A strong understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop short and long-term plans in line with corporate strategies.
  • Progressive and innovative with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
  • Post-secondary education (university or professionally accredited college) or equivalent experience.
