Crofton House School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Strategies Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Student Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning needs and coordinating the work of our Learning Strategists.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective learning strategies to support students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with teachers to provide individualized support and accommodations for students
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Essential Learning Plans (ELPs)
  • Provide guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers on learning strategies and accommodations
  • Manage the Ministry-provided budget for special needs students
  • Support the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Special Education or a related field
  • BC Ministry of Education Certificate or qualification criteria
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher at a senior school level, an asset
  • Strong knowledge of BC Ministry of Education Special Education policies and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
