Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Supervisor to join our team at Best Western Plus, Parry Sound. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of hotel staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure they are in good working order.
    • Coordinate the ordering and inventory of supplies and materials.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a positive experience at our hotel.
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure that all hotel staff are aware of and follow security and safety procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address any potential hazards.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced hotel environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
    • Be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a hotel or hospitality management role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions quickly
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
