About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Best Western Plus, Parry Sound. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of hotel staff, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard and that our guests' needs are met.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel's facilities, including the coordination of repairs and maintenance work.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that our guests receive exceptional service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition and manage inventory, ensuring that our hotel has the necessary supplies and materials to operate efficiently.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure that our hotel is a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a hotel management or supervisory role
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, interpersonal awareness, organized, and team player
