Job Summary

SRR Transport is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the journey.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain various documents, including accident or incident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trans-border documentation.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment: Permanent position with a recognized employer, working 40 hours per week in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
