Job Summary

INTER HARBOUR TRUCKING INC. is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, including tire, light, brake, and cold storage checks
  • Respond to emergency roadside situations, performing repairs and maintenance as needed
  • Communicate with central dispatch, receiving and relaying information in a clear and concise manner
  • Record and maintain accurate logs of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Ability to work 40-60 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
