About the Role

SRR TRANSPORT is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics and Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including accident or incident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance and repair reports.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License: Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset, with a preference for permanent positions.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
