About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Cobs Bread. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread products, including artisan breads, buns, and pastries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve goals.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Work Environment

The Baker will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and physical demands are essential for this role.
