We are seeking a Financial Project Specialist to enhance our finance team at WSP Canada. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to oversee project portfolios throughout their entire life cycles. Your key responsibilities will encompass ensuring precise and timely financial data for project initiation, expense monitoring, revenue acknowledgment, forecasting, and project closure. Your contribution is vital in maximizing the effectiveness of our project management system, ultimately driving the success of our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support various projects across different business units
  • Conduct financial reviews to guarantee adherence to standards and policies
  • Assist in managing the financial lifecycle of projects
  • Ensure precision in project initiation and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with the Project Delivery Team regarding project updates
  • Support project audits and revenue modifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and project-oriented accounting
  • Capability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication and analytical abilities
