Project Financial Analyst

Plan Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Accountant to join our growing team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and success of our projects by providing accurate and timely accounting support.
- Responsibilities:
- Review project forecasts and changes submitted by Project Managers, ensuring alignment with budget and contractual obligations.
- Analyze and allocate costs and revenues across various projects, maintaining a clear understanding of financial performance.
- Manage project-related data within our accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Collaborate with the operations team to streamline month-end processes, including project reviews and reporting.
- Coordinate time and material billing activities, conducting rate and markup analysis to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Generate weekly reports and provide insightful financial analysis to Project Managers, supporting their decision-making process.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of project contract terms to ensure compliance with billing requirements.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
