As a Project Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating the reasonableness of project forecast modifications submitted by Project Managers.
- Analyzing cost and revenue distributions across various projects.
- Setting up and finalizing jobs within the accounting software.
- Supporting month-end procedures, particularly concerning project evaluations.
- Managing Time & Material billing processes, including the review of rates and mark-ups.
- Generating weekly reports and offering analytical support to Project Managers.
- Ensuring comprehension of administrative and billing aspects of project contracts.
- Carrying out additional administrative and project-related duties as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a comparable position (experience in the Construction Industry is preferred).
- Confidence in daily interactions with operations team leaders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (considered an asset).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to work autonomously within a team setting.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
- A professional, responsive, and positive demeanor.
- High regard for confidentiality and sound independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.
