Job Summary

The Regional Sales Director will oversee all aspects of sales within a designated geographic area, including meeting sales targets, mentoring Territory Managers, and delivering market insights to Sales Leadership. This role requires extensive travel within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies
    • Develop short- and long-term sales plans to maximize revenue and meet business targets.
    • Monitor performance against key performance indicators and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Coach and Mentor Territory Managers
    • Coach Territory Managers to achieve sales targets through individual business plans.
    • Proactively manage under-performance and provide coaching and development planning as needed.
  • Build and Maintain Cohesion
    • Promote synergy and collaboration with office functions, including Education, Inside Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources.
    • Encourage strong partnership with Lab Territory Manager and Institution Account Manager.
  • Role Model and Lead by Example
    • Model a player/learner mindset within the Sales Organization.
    • Actively listen, communicate openly and candidly, and embrace change.
  • Travel and Expense Management
    • Manage expense and discount budgets to established guidelines.

Management Responsibilities

  • This position manages up to 9 field-based Territory Managers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in high growth corporate markets.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Superior organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, and proficiency in presenting product ideas.
  • Proven capability with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced, MBA strongly preferred.
  • Medical device B2B industry experience strongly preferred.
