JOB DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Marketing Associate's role is to work with the marketing team to strengthen CONMED's market leading position within Canada and support numerous aspects of the product portfolio to ensure sales and profitability targets are achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Execute an annual national marketing and sales program for the successful introduction, sale and marketing of the CONMED Sports Medicine Portfolio.
2. Execute national product launch plans to include (but not limited to); strategic pricing, marketing communications, product promotions, inventory levels, medical education, sales training and sales forecasts.
3. Represent the product portfolio at regional trade-shows, meetings and cadaveric labs.
4. Develop technical expertise and extensive market knowledge within the product portfolio to provide support to the sales team through education, product/technique updates, dissemination of relevant clinical research, field visits, competitive intelligence, in-servicing and the promotion of new and existing products across Canada.
5. Maintain constant communication with the Canadian sales & marketing team, international sales and marketing colleagues, and clinical KOL's to develop working knowledge of customer, market and competitive trends.
6. Support sales team in field with product demonstrations, medical education evaluation of new technology, new business implementation.
7. Assist sales and management team in the completion of national and regional RFP's/RFQ's/RFI's.
8. Provide product training at Canadian new hire sales training as well as in-house training sessions as requested by various departments.
9. Regularly communicate with the Medical Education & Events department to support and execute external and internal events, cadaveric labs and tradeshows.
10. Execute inventory management tasks including (but not limited to): SKU rationalization, inventory management & field inventory investment analysis.
11. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
2. Strong presentation skills.
3. Ability to work autonomously.
4. A strong comfort level in a clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.).
5. Self-starter with the ability to show significant initiative.
6. High energy level with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
7. Exceptional social skills in order to build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.

EDUCATION:

1. Post secondary education/University Degree (BSc/BA health related discipline or business preferred).
2. Marketing and/or Medical background or experience an asset.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. 3+ years medical device Sales and/or Marketing experience required.
2. Sports Medicine and/or Orthopaedics specific experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
2. Travel (up to 30%).
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
4. Valid G driver's license.
5. Bilingualism is an asset.
