**Position Summary**

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as the **Human Resources Coordinator for a temporary one (1) year position to cover maternity leave.** In this pivotal role, you will support and administer various HR functions, ensuring our workforce is aligned with our strategic goals, and fostering a positive company culture. Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play a key role in driving our success by attracting top-tier talent, promoting employee growth, and nurturing a collaborative environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Onboarding**: Develop and execute a comprehensive staff orientation program, providing newcomers with an in-depth understanding of our company's values, goals, and operational practices. Manage onboarding procedures, ensuring new hires seamlessly integrate into the organization and facilitating a smooth transition process.
- **Employee Relations**: Be a go-to resource for employees, addressing their concerns, and promoting a harmonious work environment. Promote open lines of communication between management and employees, acting as a bridge to address concerns, clarify expectations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- **Position Development**: Draft Job Description | Position Profiles that accurately reflect the responsibilities and qualifications required for each role.
- **Performance Management**: Facilitate and manage performance review processes that promote employee growth and align with company objectives. Contribute to nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- **Employment Offers and Payroll Support**: Draft clear, comprehensive employment offer letters, outlining terms and conditions effectively. Support payroll processes and benefits coordination, maintaining seamless communication with the Payroll Department regarding updates on new hires, termination, and employee pay deductions for each pay period.
- **Company Culture & Organizational Structure**:Champion our company culture by instilling values and cultivating an inclusive atmosphere. Participate in shaping and optimizing the organizational structure to ensure streamlined operations and effective communication.
- Work on additional projects to gain experience in other areas of HR under the mentorship of our HR team.
- Other duties as reasonably assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Phenomenal attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to give and receive feedback
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Education & Experience**
- Human Resources Management Education (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree)
- 3+ years experience in Human Resources Management
- Experience with Microsoft Office 360
- CPHR designation or active pursuit thereof is considered an asset.

**Working Conditions**
- In-person (in-office presence at our St. Albert office is required)
- Temporary, Maternity Leave Coverage
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
