About the Role

We're looking for a social media and content creation specialist to join our in-house Marketing and Communications team. You’ll help deliver on content strategy; provide insightful, real time reporting and social listening - you’ll be comfortable exploring A B testing and pivoting based on the results. In consultation with MARCOM Manager, Digital Lead and internal stakeholders, you’ll help develop strategic approaches to deliver real commercial gains and provide intelligent issues management approaches in difficult situations. Experience managing paid social media activity is necessary.

You'll be a responsive, collaborative, insightful, agile, resilient, pragmatic and creative thinker with a passion for delivering engaging and powerful social media content and PowerPoint presentations that align to our key campaigns and overall marketing and communications strategy. You'll have experience running social channels for B2B/B2G corporate organizations and will provide data and insight to the campaign team to devise the most effective way to deliver and amplify our campaign messages.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop strong consultative stakeholder relationships and drive brand engagement for our diverse and interesting organization. You might have experience working in a social media agency or as a social media content specialist, either way you'll bring flexibility, knowledge, passion and creativity to the role.

Primary Responsibilities
- Work with the MARCOM Manager / Digital Lead to deliver on social media content strategy
- As the Subject Matter Expert in analytics, you’ll provide advice and guidance to the Campaign Manager / team, offering suggestions for campaign improvement
- Align social media strategy with google ad words program
- Build and track audiences
- Support senior domain and / or territory business leads to become influential advocates delivering effective communications via social channels.
- Timely crisis management support - social listening, tracking, report generation

Required Capabilities
- In-depth professional knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+ etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Experience working for an agency or large, complex organization in a similar role - corporate environment
- Experience executing and analyzing strategic and creative B2B/B2G ideas for social media tactics and campaigns
- Excellent communication, writing and language skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Able to identify potential negative or crisis situations and alert appropriate Manager to employ conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
- A team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e. online reputation management)
- Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
- Basic Photoshop skillset - to assist in the creation of visual content
- Thinks things through to their logical conclusion - sees all the angles
- Excellent at building and maintaining internal and external business relationships, online and off

Desired Education and Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience in marketing
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in a digital communications field
- Experience working with a shared services team, and in a shared services environment an asset
- Practical knowledge of project management
