Working within this value system the duties of the **Digital Marketing Specialist** will include but not be limited to the description that follows.

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, the **Digital Marketing Specialist **is responsible for is responsible for digital content creation on web, social media and public relations support. As part of the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team, you will plan, execute, track and report on digital marketing activities to achieve The Foundation’s brand awareness, engagement and fundraising goals.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Content creation:_
- Research and write compelling copy primarily for digital channels with a focus on social media and web/mobile, as well as internal channels within the Hamilton Health Sciences network (HHS Daily Dispatch, HHS Share).
- Create, design and produce engaging, visual content (images, infographics, video, reels) primarily for digital channels - both owned and paid media.
- Support content needs for website and digital marketing executions
- Create and manage content for digital screens at Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) sites.
- 50/50 community/staff lottery content creation and contributions to digital marketing plan development and execution.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors or contractors as needed.
- Support the management of the content calendar.
- Align content with The Foundation’s mission, vision, values, and creed.
- Social media and community management: _
- Lead for all social media platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
- Publish content across all social media platforms.
- Monitor, respond to and engage with our audiences in a timely manner across social media platforms in accordance with Foundation guidelines.
- Lead and execute digital marketing campaigns, in alignment with other team members
- Lead for social media coverage at events such as MacKids Walk & Wheel, Illuminight and the annual gala and Donor Appreciation Event.
- Monitor Facebook Fundraising initiatives, as well as other social-based fundraising.
- Public Relations (PR) support_
- Support the development and implementation of PR strategies to promote the organization
- Write press releases, articles and other PR materials to communicate key messages.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers and influencers to secure coverage and endorsements.
- Track and following industry trends, competitor activities and relevant news to identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide recommendations to VP, Marketing and Communication on PR matters.
- Organize and manage press events, conferences and interviews.
- Develop and nurture key relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Hamilton Health Sciences, vendors, agencies, etc.) to facilitate effective communications and deliver on MarComm and The Foundation’s goals and objectives.
