**Nature & Scope**

YMCA of Hamilton Burlington Brantford is recruiting a Vice President of Communication and Digital Transformation who demonstrates a strong belief in the charitable mission of the YMCA and has a strong, foundational leadership practice of equity, diversity and inclusion.

Reporting to the President & CEO, YMCA HBB is seeking a dynamic, strategic and adaptable leader of Communications and Digital Transformation to join our YMCA. As a member of the Executive team, the incumbent will serve as the senior advisor to the President & CEO and members of the Executive Team on communications, brand, marketing and information technology strategy and issues management.

The Vice President will harness strategic leadership expertise and technical strengths to advance the YMCA mission as well as the charitable impact to support revenue and service growth across our communities.

With a portfolio encompassing executive leadership for marketing and communications, information technology and management information systems, and government relations and advocacy, the incumbent will drive business transformation, innovation and a future-ready approach across the Association.

The Vice President is responsible for leading the Association’s marketing & communications strategy, digital transformation strategy, and the government relations strategy. These key Association strategies include public relations, branding and positioning, crisis and reputation management, advertising and media management, internal and external communications, web and social media management, design/production and marketing evaluation, digital marketing, e-commerce, IT management, and data analytics and reporting.

**Responsibilities**
- Creates, leads and implements the YMCA’s omni-channel marketing, communications and brand strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic, philanthropic and operational goals, positioning and promoting the YMCA to strengthen reputation and understanding of the YMCA and its social impact.
- Leads the development, design, implementation and evaluation of digital transformation and integrated planning initiatives to enable a future-ready organization.
- Develops and supports government relations and advocacy strategies to generate support for YMCA project(s) and policy issues through engagement with federal, provincial, municipal government officials, Indigenous leaders and policy influencers.
- Incorporates and leverages research, data analytics and emerging digital technologies to meet and exceed health equity targets, enhance the customer journey, modernize our YMCA sales approach and improve brand experience across YMCA programs.
- Oversees the YMCA’s brand strategy, embedding a consistent approach and messaging through internal and external communications, issues and crisis management, stakeholder relationships, and mainstream and digital media channels.
- Develops and executes internal communications and change management plans to drive new business strategies and Association priorities.

**Education/Experience**
- Experience in leading and implementing complex change to achieve strategic outcomes and targets.
- Proven track record in collaboration and innovation to achieve collective outcomes.
- University degree and post-graduate education/certification in related Marketing and Communications field.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, listening, presentations and public-speaking.
- High emotional intelligence (i.e. self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills).
- A track record demonstrated through 10+ year’s progressive executive leadership in multiple disciplines. i.e. marketing and communications, public relations, media management, digital strategy and analytics, government relations, information technology etc.
- Experience in leading with influence to galvanize cross-functional teams, build consensus and drive large strategic change across an organization.
