**General Description**:
Responsible for the bank reconciliation process across all major bank accounts maintained by MIP, including but not limited to, controlling for irregularities in banking transactions, and investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies while updating accounts with accurate information. Act as a resource to internal and external stakeholders.

**Representative Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and reconcile statements and participate in the reconciliation of accounts.
- Analyze, and reconcile detailed financial reports and purchasing records.
- Collate and analyze all vendor invoices, input the appropriate G/L coding on them and work with the relevant management personnel to get them approved.
- Analyze financial information and purchasing records to aid in the development and implementation of key performance indicators.
- Liaison with the Director of Operations to support Purchase Orders, Operational Invoices processing, Operational accruals
- Laison with the Project Management team to ensure all procurement and PO are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with RFP process, Operational supply ordering and contract review
- Monitor and investigate error and exception reports and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Analyze business processes to ensure efficiency and proper controls for accurate financial reporting and the safeguarding of assets. Recommend changes to improve processes.
- Act as a resource to staff, departments, and external agencies, and respond to inquiries, questions and concerns about financial issues.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing audit files and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Update, maintain, and verify information in a variety of spreadsheets and databases.
- Compare actual results with budget and forecast to analyze and identify areas of strengths and weaknesses.
- Manage and coordinate the monthly and quarterly closing process, working with the Financial Coordinator and Director Finance and ensuring all steps and actions are taken on time.
- Work in coordination with the Director Projects on all Project Finance and Admin related support.
- Prepare and generate a variety of scheduled and ad hoc reports.
- Other duties as required.

- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad-hoc issues.
- The ability to solve problems, especially in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and comfortable taking on challenges
- You are a quick learner and have a high level of computer proficiency, such as Excel, and financial systems preferably Sage.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree finance or administration or equivalent experience

1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
