- The annual salary range is $70,437- $112,872 (at 100% appointment) and is based on qualifications, experience, and the placement criteria of Article 14 of the NICFA Collective agreement.**Position Summary**
- Reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Health and Human Services, The Human Services (HSW) Program and Curriculum Development Mentor (PCDM) is responsible for supporting the HSW base programing, providing leadership for aligning QAPA goals and recommendations, and to the QAPA Action Plan, the Widening Our Doorways goals, and North Island College’s (NIC) strategic initiatives (Build 2026, Working Together, NIC People Plan).The PCDM will support faculty responsibilities and typical duties listed below constitute a generic job description for teaching faculty whose responsibility may be for the delivery of scheduled classes, the support of self-paced, on-line, and distance courses, and/or instruction and supervision in laboratories (learning centres), and practicums.The mentor will collaborate with the HSW Department Chair as well as with outside stakeholders including practice partners and industry leaders; establish this project’s goals by the conclusion of this posting; and support the HSW faculty in their goals to align with the 2023 Human Services Program review.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the office of the dean and liaising with college departments (such as enrolment, or work with DC), faculty, to carry out curriculum mapping, program and course inventory, update program learning outcomes and complete course outline analysis.
- Working with the CTLI to develop a scaffolded learning approach to each of the programs to direct faculty, the learners and to support transferability to other post-secondary institutions.
- Facilitate regular meetings with the Human Service Department Chair and liaison from CTLI to develop the project outcomes and deliverables.
- Meet with community and post-secondary partners to gain feedback that can be integrated in the development of each of the programs.
- Work with the Human Services department to develop a three-year action plan that reflects the QAPA recommendations, departmental goals, and information gathered from this Program and Curriculum Development Coordinator position.

**Required Education & Experience**
- Master’s degree in a relevant field of Health and Human Services program areas and specific to the department’s faculty qualifications;
- Minimum of two years demonstrated experience in post-secondary education and instruction;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field;
- Experience with project management;
- Experience with community-based programming supporting Indigenous learners, underrepresented learners, inclusive of women and LGBTQIA learners, and experience supporting intercultural initiatives;
- Demonstrated community awareness and experience in collaborative projects;
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.

**Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities**
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to independently and collaboratively lead projects, produce reports, communicate updates and changes, and meet timely deliverables in a self-directed manner.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines while managing a professional rapport with colleagues, industry, and students.
- Ability to work both independently, within and across teams; demonstrated ability to reason analytically and problem-solve independently.
- Excellent computing skills including MS Office suite and experience with database management and demonstrated experience using a learning management system (LMS).
