**Responsibilities**
- Employ teaching strategies and create learning environments drawing upon current best practices in teaching and learning
- Use respectful and relational interpersonal communication skills with students, faculty, management, colleagues from other colleges, community members and other professionals in internal and external educational and practice settings
- Work effectively in a team-based work environment, including inter-professional teams
- Develop, revise and adapt appropriate learning resources for students in a variety of formats
- Incorporate academic technology effectively to enhance and support student learning
- Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes using a variety of academic assessment strategies and approaches and provide regular feedback
- Provide academic support to students, in-person or through electronic communication
- Attend meetings, maintain records of student grades/assessments, and participate in meetings and activities pertinent to faculty responsibilities

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Masters degree in Education or related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education, work and lived experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience teaching in postsecondary education
- Experience and expertise in educational development and related areas of practice at the post-secondary level an asset
- Experience in creating accessible online asynchronous learning experiences within an LMS (e.g., Brightspace), including the use of custom templates and educational technology tools to foster an inclusive learning community
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of equity, anti-racism, decolonizing and accessibility; experience promoting a respectful work and learning environment for students, faculty and staff; knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and inclusive teaching principles an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)
- Ability to communicate reflectively and show reciprocity in written, oral and non-verbal communication, communicating clearly and effectively in different contexts with different groups using different language strategies, respectful and inclusive of linguistic differences
- Completion of the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (7377) program an asset
- Working knowledge of HTML and web accessibility standards an asset
- Experience working with, teaching, or mentoring diverse groups of employees or students in an online setting
- A solid understanding of the education sector in Ontario
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams
