Edmonton, Canada Altex Industries Inc Full time

We are seeking a **Business Development**executiveto develop, enhance, grow and maintain client relationships. This role will work with the Business Development Director to call on industrial customers in Alberta. Some of the responsibilities include:
**Major Areas of Responsibilities**:

- Call on industrial customers to promote Field Services, Specialty Services and Altex’s heat exchanger product line and shop fabrication capabilities throughout Alberta.
- Diversify Altex’s customer base (more sites) for large turn-around and maintenance projects.
- Keep operations advised of activities and initiatives to allow proper planning and strategizing as required.
- Maintain a strong network throughout the industry and establish a list of the customer contacts and share with all via HubSpot CRM.
- Provide guidance for building strategic relationships with key and major accounts.
- Communicate market trends, customer attitudes, competitive intelligence and needs of clients.
- Attend weekly meetings and conference calls with Altex Commercial Operations
- Gather and communicate information on our competition - specific to each opportunity.
- Provide input on pricing strategies for Field Services and Shop fabrication.
- Assist with trade shows, presentations, and other in-person promotional opportunities.
- As required, execute plant or project walk downs and site visits.
- Provide reports to senior management for summary of activities and progress on agreed to goals
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills and Abilities**:

- Have a strong mechanical background and/or mechanical aptitude.
- Ability and drive to spend up to 20 days per month visiting clients throughout the region.
- Work independently and collaboratively.
- Handle multiple tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Speak with confidence and accuracy one-on-one and to groups.
- Soft skills to engage and interact effectively with clients and to all levels within Altex organization.
- Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, High Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism

**Position Requirements**:

- Previous business development with Oilsands customers an asset.
- 3 - 5+ years of successful sales experience in industrial environment
- Proven track record of developing new businesses
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of sales techniques including cold-calling, networking, lead generations, all with the ability to close the deal
- Exhibit strong business acumen, customer focus and a demonstrated balanced approach to decision making (company, client, and employee interest)
- Travel Requirements - needs to be flexible with schedule
- Hours are based on business needs
- Laptop and business cell provided
