**Payroll Specialist

**What you will do**:
- Assisting with day to day operations of payroll functions and duties.
- Ensuring payroll processes on a timely bases without any errors.
- Verifying and reconciling employee hours on Workforce Management tool/software.
- Ensuring non-billable time is justified or in accordance with the CBA or company policy (sick, bereavement, etc.)
- Calculating proper hours from Workforce Management tool/software to Excel to Sage 300.
- Resolving pay rate errors after transferring data from Workforce Management tool/software.
- Recording all payroll information with accurate classification, pay rates, deductions, etc.
- Ensuring biweekly payroll processing.
- Coordinating with the Scheduling department to pay discrepancies.
- Recording employee bank account/ direct deposit details in the system.
- Submitting weekly, monthly, and year-end employee and Government filling such as T4's, Pier, EHT, WSIB/WCB).
- Preparing and submitting Record of Employment's (ROE) after each payroll.
- Issuing employee job letter as requested by the employees.
- Reconciling and submitting monthly Union remittances and reports.
- Submitting employee RRSP contributions on a monthly basis.
- Coordinating with Human Resources on a regular basis for benefits, wage change, status change, employee reimbursements, etc.
**Who you are**:
- Must have experience with invoicing and payables cycle in a large organization.
- Should have completed Accounting and Payroll Administration program or Canadian Payroll Association certification or equivalent.
- Membership with the Canadian Payroll Association will be an asset.
- Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle difficult callers, stressful situations, and multiple tasks in a professional, positive, and constructive manner.
- Is process-oriented and has a strong bias to action.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
