Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Gerrie Electric Wholesale Ltd. As a key member of our payroll function, you will play a crucial role in administering the payroll process and ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.

We are a proud family-owned Canadian company headquartered in Burlington, ON, and are committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer hourly and salaried payroll
  • Maintain and update employee information, including records of attendance, leave, and overtime, to calculate pay and benefit entitlements
  • Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans
  • Process all employee payroll-related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay
  • Complete and verify forms and documentation for administration of benefits, such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance
  • Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts
  • Reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements and identify and resolve payroll discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • PAYROLL experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset
