The SqDC Administrative Assistant provides support in the administrative setting and performs a range of routine and non-routine tasks including data entry, filing and organization, reception duties, handling correspondence, administrative tasks, purchase order assignments, ensuring office equipment is in working order, supporting senior staff members as needed, record keeping, assisting with website maintenance, social media updates, data analysis, office maintenance, communications and assisting with events.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
The Administrative Assistant will report to the Office Manager/Strategic Partnership Coordinator and CFO, and will be responsible for:
- Inputting, updating, and maintaining records and databases.
- Managing files, documents, and office supplies, ensuring everything is well organized.
- Reception duties - Greeting visitors and answering phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Completing general administrative tasks such as photocopying, proofreading, data entry, scanning, and assisting with document preparation.
- Assisting with travel arrangements and booking accommodations, arranging transportation for staff etc.
- Reviewing and reconciling expense reports
- Ensure office equipment is in working order.
- Support to senior administrative staff and assisting other SqDC staff as needed.
- Ensure timely and efficient handling of errands to support office operations.
- Keeping accurate records of office inventory or other relevant data.
- Assist senior staff with event planning and coordination.
- Support marketing campaigns and assist in creating and distributing newsletters and updates.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive annual SqDC calendar for all events and important dates and inform relevant staff about upcoming events in advance.
- Assist with monitoring, managing and updating the SqDC website and social media accounts Other duties as assigned.
**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
**Education**:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as business administration, marketing, finance, or a related discipline would be considered an asset.
**Other Skills**
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Canva for content creation is considered an asset.
- Ability to manage social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid BC Driver’s License; Class 5 & clean Driver’s Abstract
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector - CRRP
- Knowledge, respect, and understanding of Stó꞉lō culture, history, traditions, and language or willingness to learn is considered an asset.
- Experience working with First Nations communities is considered an asset.
