**Responsibilities**:

- Identify and Pursue Business Opportunities: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, projects, and partnerships aligned with Iris Construction Management's growth strategy. Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities to achieve business targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their needs, preferences, and pain points to offer tailored solutions that meet their construction requirements.
- Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and bids that showcase Iris Construction Management's strengths and capabilities, ensuring a persuasive and professional representation of the company.
- Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to expand the company's presence and establish valuable connections within the construction and related sectors.
- QSR Business Understanding: Leverage your knowledge of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry to identify opportunities for Iris Construction Management to provide specialized services to QSR clients.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborative Strategy: Work closely with the executive team and other departments to develop and execute business development strategies that align with Iris Construction Management's overall goals.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Set ambitious but achievable sales targets and work diligently to meet and exceed them, contributing significantly to the company's revenue growth.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties while maintaining the company's interests.
- Reporting and Analytics: Regularly track and report on business development activities, performance metrics, and key milestones to the management team.

**Requirements**:

- Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in business development within the construction industry.
- Strong Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities, pitch services, and close deals effectively.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and nurture strong client relationships.
- QSR Knowledge (Asset): Familiarity with the Quick Service Restaurant business and an understanding of their specific construction needs would be considered an asset.
- Strategic Thinker: A strategic mindset with the ability to identify and prioritize opportunities for business growth.
- Results-Driven: Self-motivated, target-oriented, and committed to achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cohesively with internal teams to deliver seamless solutions to clients.

**Salary**: starts at $55,000/year plus commissions
