The Director, Domestic Violence Practice and System Coordination is responsible for sustaining a collaborative practice environment for improving and strengthening the provision of domestic violence practice in child, youth, and family services at a provincial level, and the ongoing development of practice regarding domestic violence in the province.

The Director, Domestic Violence Practice and System Coordination provides expert advice in the provision of Domestic Violence services to children, families and youth. The position directs and co-ordinates the development and delivery of various projects involving varying degrees of scope and is responsible for project planning, and lead implementation of new practice initiatives relating to domestic violence across the six service lines.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Social Sciences, Criminology, or another closely related field of study OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- **NOTE**: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide the report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum three (3) years of child, youth or women safety experience.
- Minimum three (3) years dedicated work experience in domestic violence and women’s safety with current expertise of best practice in the field.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in assessing risk and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Minimum three (3) years experience delivering practical training, ideally in women’s safety and domestic violence practice (may include workshops, seminars and web-based platforms).
- Minimum three (3) years experience establishing collaborative relationships with organizational leaders, which may include leading organizational change associated with implementation of domestic violence projects and initiatives.
- Minimum two (2) years experience co-leading or participating in initiatives of complexity that have multiple project delivery components.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in strategic planning.
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s licence with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).

Preference may be given for:
