The position directly supports the ministry's complex, cross-ministry strategic initiatives and supports leadership in achieving their strategic direction. This position will act as a representative of the Quality Assurance Branch, participating in cross divisional, cross ministry and external partner engagement to uphold long-term ministry and government wide priorities.

The successful applicant will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to deliver results in a dynamic and multi disciplinary environment.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Social Work; OR Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Child and Youth Care; OR Master of Education in Counselling Psychology/Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
- Extensive experience with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, OR with an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency, AND increasing responsibilities which reflect the depth and breadth of experience in one (1) or more of the following service areas: child protection and family services, guardianship, adoption and permanency, youth services, children and youth with support needs, child and youth mental health, and youth justice.
- Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Five (5) or more years of recent experience (within the last 10yrs) with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, OR an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience working with children and families in the social services sector.
- Two (2) or more years of work experience as an analyst, senior analyst, consultant, or supervisor for the Ministry of Children and Family Development OR an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency.
- Experience on one (1) or more of the ministry transformation project teams (e.g., Specialized Homes and Support Services, CYSN, Strengthening Abilities and Journeys of Empowerment/Youth Transitions, Jurisdiction, Transformation enablers).
- Experience delivering quality assurance services and evaluating Ministry of Children and Family Development. or an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency performance as a primary job accountability.
- Education in program evaluation.
- Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
- Applicants who currently hold a Class 5 BC Driver’s License (minimum class 5) or an equivalent from another jurisdiction.
