Inside Account Manager

**SUMMARY**
Customer facing inside sales role responsible for assigned accounts in a predetermined sales territory, including revenue, margin and breadth growth, through customer contact, sales and service; accountable for customer satisfaction, revenue generation, goal achievement and long-term business goals in line with D&H’s vision and values.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Responsible for monthly sales goal attainment, including the achievement of revenue, and margin goals.
- Forecasting, analyzing customer data and tracking key metrics (eg quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and presenting the progress on a quarterly basis.
- Developing strong relationships at all levels within D&H organization, including buyers, finance, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Connecting with key business executives and stakeholders in order to maintain our existing business and grow the D&H market share, including engagement in marketing and promotional activities
- Develop and executing a Strategic Account plan in conjunction with the Director, Retail Accounts/Territory Account Manager and adjust the plan on-going as the business evolves.
- Managing the daily/regular client queries to ensure client satisfaction (lead point of contact for all customer account management matters)
- Communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Role may require on-site approximately 1-2 days per week or as needed
- Work with vendors to develop customer specific promotions. Track all promotional activities and ensure execution and compliance.
- Work with vendor reps and sales teams to build vendor sales within zone and to grow the revenue and sales breadth within assigned accounts.
- Work with Sales Specialists, BU, BDM and VBM Teams to grow vendor sales within zone and within assigned accounts.
- Work with other departments including Purchasing and Credit to grow sales, build the zone and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attend sales and product trainings.
- Attend reseller shows and events to meet with prospects in person as needed.
- Provide customers with product and service information reactively and proactively.
- Project a professional company image through customer and vendor interactions.
- Meet outbound and overall phone time requirements along with Activity and Busy-ness rankings.
- Use CRM system to track all customer contacts and activities, including completing Business Portfolios for each assigned account.
- Adhere to all company policies procedures and ethics including company attendance policy.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
Education
- Post Secondary education in a business -related discipline, Diploma or Degree preferred.
Experience
- 3 years of sales or more of Account Experience calling on Major Retail Accounts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel including pivot tables and CRM software
- Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask, and a keen eye for detail
- Distribution experience is an asset
- Ability to function independently, as well as working effectively in a team environment
- Self -motivated with superior problem solving skills
