The Program Assistant, Global Relations provides support and planning to both incoming and outgoing international students, and acts as a primary point of contact for the international exchange and Business Fundamental programs, as well as for international Part-time Studies (PTS) students.**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Support for Initiatives and Activities within the International Group of School of Business**
- Assists with development of promotional materials for the School’s international programs.
- Coordinates guest speakers from partner and non-partner universities.
- Coordinates and supports incoming and outgoing international delegation visits.
- Coordinates the international student experience including orientation and pre-departure programs, as well as all enrolment and non-academic issues.
- Assists with coordination of incoming and outgoing student academic studies programs provided for in international agreements.
- Counsels students on course and program availability at partner institutions.
- Promotes international activities and agreements through career fairs and information sessions.
- Maintains content for the School’s International Education web page.
- Liaises with Program Heads to ensure international students are properly placed in their courses.
- Liaises with the International Student Centre on non-academic issues pertaining to International students.
- Assists with onboarding of incoming and outgoing faculty and staff.

**Support for On-campus Events and Programs**
- Promotes international education and intercultural initiatives, programs and services.
- Provides informational and logístical support for international events, lectures and industry events.
- Provides support for the Global Education Ambassador Program.

**Support for Enrolment and Delivery of**
**PTS**
**Business Fundamentals Courses**
- Acts as the liaison between students, instructors, coordinators and managers on courses and programs.
- Facilitates term start-up process by providing class lists, contracts, course outlines, parking passes, evaluation packages and any other materials instructors may require.
- Prepares and sends appointment offers/electronic contracts to instructors, records receipt of confirmations and follows up with outstanding confirmations.
- Builds and maintains term course enrollment spreadsheet, tracks enrollment on a daily basis and, in absence of the PTS Coordinator or Program Head, makes recommendations regarding course cancellations and increasing enrolment maximums within established guidelines.
- Prepares contracts for PTS instructors, lab assistants, markers, guest lecturers, substitutes and course developers.
- Assists the PTS Coordinator or Program Head with classroom issues. Liaises with the PTS Coordinator and the BCIT Timetabling department.
- Advises the appropriate departments of changes in course scheduling details: capacity changes, course cancellations and locations.
- Contacts students when changes to course details have been made, or courses are cancelled.
- Coordinates and provides administrative support for PTS Program Advisory Committee meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Files information related to Course and Instructor Evaluation.
- Maintains Banner course file for term rollover and ongoing additions, deletions and changes. Creates and maintains course database.
- Coordinates textbook and material requisition process for courses in conjunction with the Bookstore for each term.
- Follows up with instructors each term regarding outstanding final and incomplete grade concerns for resolution, files final grade breakdown and attendance information.
- Provides assistance in preparing course schedules, instructor orientation, processing financial documents, ordering supplies, photocopying, campus deliveries, writing a variety of correspondence, and special event planning/participation; attends events as required.

- Participates in Records Custodian training and remains current with record keeping practices, policies and procedures (both BCIT and FOIPOP).
- Undertakes related duties as assigned, consistent with the job grade for this position.
