Total Rewards Assistant

**Posting Description**:
- Accountable for answering and investigating general HR issues and questions from employees
- Maintains a general understanding of HR policies, procedures and legislation in order to provide accurate and knowledgeable responses
- Provides guidance/direction to employees as to where on the intranet to obtain HR forms, HR Policies.
- Provides instruction on using Employee Self Services particularly how to make changes to address, telephone, and emergency contact
- Povides guidance on where to obtain pay stubs, vacation bank, lieu bank and T4 information
- Issues applicable HR forms related to employee¿s issue(s)/questions;
- Facilitates request for change of beneficiaries related to life insurance benefits
- Prepare and distribute Letters of Employment
- Ensure employee personnel records files (active and terminated) are maintained with all updated documents generated from other areas of HR.
- Accountable for the file management of both active and terminated files in which files are purged and re-located off site when appropriate.
- Accountable for the release of information procedure related to requests for information from lawyers, insurance carrier.
- Facilitates mail distribution and retrieval and courier requests
- Maintains and facilitates the weekly ordering of office supplies for all of HR across all 3 sites
- Arranges maintenance requests as required
- Accountable for Iron Mountain purging of files and retrieval
- Shop IT requests
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Completion of a post secondary Human Resources Program, preferred;
- CHRP or working towards CHRP designation, or other HR related designation, an asset;
- 2-3 years in a customer service role (with demonstrated strong customer service focus), HR background preferred;
- Familiar with Employment Legislation, and Human Rights Code;
- Familiar with collective agreements;
