- _**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Pension & Benefits, the Total Rewards Analyst plays an important role in the development and effective delivery of all total rewards programs. Working closely with the Total Rewards Team, this role contributes through research, reporting, analysis and auditing various total rewards programs ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
*** Key Accountabilities**:
- Compile and prepare total rewards data to support regulatory reporting, and internal & external audits
- Prepare custom total rewards reports for regular and ad hoc reporting requests
- Prepare and provide data to HR Systems in support of HR dashboard
- Conduct research and analysis on current trends to support the development of new and existing total rewards programs and policies
- Review total rewards programs and policies to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and to align to best practices
- Create cost modeling and financial analysis related to new and existing total rewards programs
- Analyze and present findings in a concise and effective manner to support informed decision making
- Audit and reconcile total rewards program configuration and data from internal and external sources to ensure data integrity (e.g. benefit plans, benefit premiums, pension plans, pension deductions, job codes, etc.)
- Review and identify root causes of data integrity or process issues and recommend solutions
- Identify new and innovative ways to utilize systems to gain efficiencies and automation
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in Human Resources
- 3 - 5 years of Human Resources experience in a roles related HRIS, compensation, pension and benefits
- 3 - 5 years data analysis and reporting experience
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, particularly those related to total rewards, such as the Canada Labour Code, would be beneficial.
- Experience in cost modeling and financial analysis related to total rewards programs.
- Valid Ontario driver license
- Obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data for strategic decision-making.
- Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- A deep understanding of compensation and benefits principles, including different types of compensation (e.g., salary, bonuses, incentives) and benefits (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans), as well as current trends and best practices in total rewards management
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to compensation and benefits, including federal legislation, tax regulations, and industry-specific regulations
- Familiarity with industry benchmarks, market trends, and competitive practices in total rewards management to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent
- Project management skills with a proven ability to redesign and implement new procedures, processes and strategies
