Manager Sustainability and Climate Change

**What you’ll do**
The Sustainability and Climate Change Measurement & Reporting Manager at CTC is responsible for quantifying and developing the environmental impact and footprint of CTC’s value-chain, managing Climate Disclosure, and supporting the strategic development of future climate change and GHG emission reduction targets from across all areas of the business.
- Develop, measure and track CTC enterprise energy and greenhouse gas emissions footprint in line with GHG Protocol and other related frameworks
- Measure and track the economic and environmental benefits of CTC’s decarbonization targets and initiatives
- Help build the internal expertise and capability to carry out LCAs and improve CTC’s product carbon footprint
- Source, propose and collaborate to develop decarbonization opportunities and strategies with the business that will reduce CTC’s environmental footprint and contribute towards achieving the publicly stated GHG emission reduction target
- Work with all areas of CTCs business to develop decarbonization strategies, roadmaps, and targets
- Navigate an increasingly complex voluntary reporting landscape to provide stakeholders, in particular investors, with Climate strategy and performance information
- Assess climate-related risk and opportunity and engaging with relevant business groups to ensure CTC is prepared and well-positioned to manage risks/capitalize on opportunities and thrive long-term in a low carbon economy
- Monitor and assess the impacts of federal and provincial climate change regulation
- Lead internal communications of CTC’s climate strategy and performance
**What you bring**
- Post-Secondary education in business and or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in progressively senior roles; retail experience an asset
- Familiarity with GHG Protocol, SASB, CDP and other sustainability frameworks
- Experience with renewable energy procurement mechanisms
- Detail-oriented and process minded, highly organized and able to tackle multiple projects with varying scope
- Strategic-thinker and able to operate in an ambiguous environment
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills; effective at influencing key stakeholders
- Strong business, financial and analytical acumen
