We are seeking an experienced Climate Change Strategy Lead to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC). As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in driving decarbonization initiatives across our organization.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that requires working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including real estate, transportation, finance, and operations. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of decarbonization strategies, carbon accounting, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute key levers in our decarbonization strategy, including building and transportation decarbonization, renewable energy, and more.
  • Support the planning, execution, management, and monitoring of cross-functional sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate sustainability strategies into our core business.
  • Capture innovative opportunities for value creation, including better processes, products, and services.
What You'll Bring
  • 2-4 years of work experience in energy, climate change, and/or sustainability.
  • Data analysis skills, with experience in data gathering, analysis, and modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics.
  • Strong knowledge of decarbonization strategies, carbon accounting, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including store discounts, supported learning opportunities, and retirement and savings programs.
