Specialist in Climate Change and Sustainability

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Change Specialist to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of our climate strategies.

About the Role:
  • Support the development and execution of key levers in our decarbonization strategy, including building and transportation decarbonization, renewable energy, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability strategies into our core business.
  • Capture and create innovative opportunities for value, including better processes, products, and services.
  • Provide support to the leadership team as required, including research, consultative initiatives, and presentation support.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-4 years of experience in energy, climate change, and/or sustainability.
  • Data and analysis skills, with experience in data gathering, analysis, and modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong knowledge of decarbonization strategies, carbon accounting, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies.
