Climate Change Mitigation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Climate Change Mitigation Specialist to join our team at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Environmental Science or be near completion of their Ph.D. and have proven knowledge and experience of climate change mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of modules and creation of exams, term tests, and assignments
  • Marking and marks management
  • Supervision of Teaching Assistants (TAs)
  • Conducting office hours

Schedule:
Lectures will be held on Thursdays from 6-8 pm. We require the successful candidate to be available during these times.

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Environmental Science or be near completion of their Ph.D. and have proven knowledge and experience of climate change mitigation. The ideal candidate will have practical implementation experience of climate change mitigation policies and measures, actions, and plans in the public sector and private sector.

Preferred Qualifications:
Past teaching experience is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have proven University lecture experience with climate change related course(s) and be familiar with the use of course management tools (e.g., Quercus).
