The Planning & Investment Team is working to make it happen right now.

As the Planning Coordinator you will be a key member of the Planning & Investment Team. This position will focus on engaging with DHW’s diverse program and health partners to support them in navigating and implementing value-based frameworks. This means that you are someone who can lead discussions and engage content experts in facilitated conversations, ultimately enabling them to better understand the broader impacts of their initiatives, and how they can maximize healthcare delivery and health outcomes for Nova Scotians.

You will lead our engagement and knowledge sharing processes. This will include coordinating knowledge sharing workshops with Nova Scotia's health community and health leadership, a unique opportunity to bring experts together to align on value-based priorities and establish innovative health investment and strategic planning directions. Your contributions will support the allocation of human and financial resources where it matters most to Nova Scotians and align with the overall strategic vision and mission of the Department. - to long-term investment decisions which will benefit Nova Scotians for years to come.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
In this role you will strengthen collaborative relationships and advance strategic planning and investment for DHW by:

- Gathering and compiling evidence (quantitative & qualitative via stakeholders, senior leadership, and other sources), to develop processes that enable ongoing evidence-based monitoring, progress, and outcome assessments across health priorities and investments.
- Supporting and overseeing the maturation of investment processes.
- Advising on robust governance and accountability processes, policies and strategies.
- Aiding and supporting project owners and DHW partners in navigating value-based frameworks, while coordinating and reviewing progress measurement (e.g., project status, impact, value).
- Leading the coordination and planning of health priority and knowledge sharing workshops and conference sessions for Nova Scotia’s health leaders.
- Contributing to a departmental culture of evidence-informed decision making and promoting continuous learning and inquiry.
- Supporting the Planning and Investment team regarding project planning, divisional planning, and strategic narrative development.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Demonstrated experience drafting and/or coordinating and synthesizing materials.

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work with an extensive stakeholder community with tact, diplomacy, and an ability
