About Il Centro:
The Italian Cultural Centre, or Il Centro, has been an essential part of Vancouver’s cultural landscape for more than four decades. It opened in 1977 when its founding members,13 existing Italian Associations, came together with the shared dream of creating “a place of their own” in Vancouver.

Position Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Social Media Duties:

- Content Development: Create and curate engaging, high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content, including short videos, social media posts, newsletters, and more.
- Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of content strategies and campaigns that align with our brand, goals, and target audience.
- Content Calendar: Create and maintain monthly content calendars to ensure a consistent flow of content.
- Audience Engagement: Monitor and respond to audience comments and messages on various platforms, fostering community engagement and building brand loyalty.
- Analytics: Analyze content performance using various tools such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and Mailchimp, to identify trends, and provide insights to improve content strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute content that aligns with marketing campaigns.

Executive Assistant Duties:

- Scheduling: Assist the Executive Director in scheduling requests, meeting requests, and managing their overall calendar.
- Client Relations: Manage relationships with partner organizations (including agreements) and event sponsors, fundraising and seek out new partners to join our partnership program.
- Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks, such as drafting and editing documents, vetting reports, as well as budget tracking for marketing expenses for an event.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Cultural director and Marketing Coordinator on event planning and executing event objectives.
- Board Meetings: Arranging the schedule, reminders, agenda and Board of Director reports for the monthly Board of Director’s meetings.Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Manager, or similar role.
- Strong writing and editing skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms. (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, X, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, etc)
- Knowledge of SEO and content optimization
- Creative thinking and the ability to develop content that engages and captivates the audience.
- Microsoft Office suite capable
- High proficient level of graphic design and video editing skills, with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to problem solve, and collaborate with other team members to execute events, content creation and marketing campaigns.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and maintain partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).

In addition, the following qualifications and experience are considered assets:

- Knowledge of Italian is an asset but not mandatory
- Knowledge of basic web capabilities
- Corporate network drive management
