**Job Overview**

Accounts Payable is a pivotal role in the Accounting Team and requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in a high volume and fast-paced environment. The AP ensures our contractors and partners get paid accurately and on-time. They will ensure approval policies are followed, record invoices for payment, develop relationships with partners and suppliers, and are responsible for the day-to-day processing of all activities related to the AP function. Provides support for accounting and operations teams to ensure proper approval and recording of financial transactions in the accounting system.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Prepare weekly cheque run and accurate EFT files.
- Maintains the Payable’s database including adding new suppliers, verification of supplier statements, banking information and supplier documentation.
- Respond to, and resolve inquires related to Accounts Payable including supplier disputes.
- Track and record all credit card transactions.
- Work with members of the operations team to review coding of invoices to ensure general ledger accuracy.
- Works with the other members of the accounting team to participate in timely Month-end and Year-end process.
- Image relevant supplier documentation and support.
- Assists with preparation for the annual audit.
- Ensures compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
- Assist the Accounting staff with special projects and analysis.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

**Job Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting.
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable position.
- Experience in the Club Industry preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to build strong partner relationships within the club and externally.
- Ability to process data consistently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles required.
