**Position Title: HR Intern**
**Location: Markham, Ontario**
**Job Type: at least 4 months** contract with full-time hours (40 hours/week), to start in April/May, on-site position**
**GENERAL FUNCTION**:
The HR Intern supports the HR Department by executing a variety of tasks in the areas of records management, recruitment, on-boarding/off-boarding, compliance, employee benefits, among others.
**Records Management**
- Analyze and process document uploads submitted in UKG.
- Conducts regular audits of data to ensure the accuracy of information in various systems (such as Certification dashboard and UKG alerts)
- Maintains other human resources records in relation to HR actions such as new hires, on-boarding, off-boarding, employee changes, etc.
**Recruitment and On-boarding**
- Assists in drafting and posting of jobs internally and externally through manual or automated methods
- Provides assistance in the onboarding process by:
- Validating authenticity of documents
- Confirming on-boarding requests according to process
- Updating HR tracking systems
- Monitoring completion of the onboarding process
**Other tasks**
- Assists in the preparation of data for payroll
- Assists in the administration of employee benefits and training
- Assists in other HR processes such as off-boarding, exit interviews, etc.
- Responds to employee questions and escalates questions to other HR team members
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate course in Human Resources
- Works well with data including data entry and validation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
