Standards & Compliance Specialist

Creator Warehouse is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented Standards & Compliance Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role will be responsible for ensuring that our goods and products meet all compliance standards by setting and managing expectations with suppliers. Additionally, this person will be tasked with pursuing and maintaining intellectual properties such as patents, copyrights, and trademarks, along with ensuring compliance with consumer regulations. The Standards & Compliance Specialist’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
**Duties**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive auditing program with suppliers to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards, including ethical, social responsibility, environmental, safety, and quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with consumer regulations and safety standards, especially around specialty and children’s goods, by staying continuously updated on industry standards and meticulously researching new endeavours and product categories.
- Understand and refine Creator Warehouse's current design, development, production, shipping, and after-sales support processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Produce public-facing transparency reports for our goods, providing insight into our production processes and partnerships overseas.
- Interpret third-party audit results, verify their validity, and act upon necessary changes to ensure we're working with suppliers that hold to our standards of quality, employee treatment/compensation, and environmental impact.
- Produce and update public policies & statements to our customers around our practices, including customer data and tracking.
- Analyze and report on various region-specific standards of each of our suppliers in terms of compensation averages, working conditions, and other relevant factors to align with our ethics goals.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance and intellectual property management.
- Strong understanding of consumer and trade regulations, safety standards, and intellectual property laws.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
