Location: Division Office - Winnipeg
Start Date: As soon as possible
FTE: 7.25 Hours/Day, 5 Days/Week, 12 Months/Year
Term of Employment: Permanent
**Salary**: $57,512.00 - $66,007.03 per year
Unionized/Non-Unionized: Non-Unionized

Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for the preparation of regular and intermittent payrolls for staff of the Division.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Hold or are pursuing Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from the Canadian Payroll
Association
- Two (2) to five (5) years computerized payroll experience
- Knowledge of union collective agreements, Division regulations, policies, procedures and practices relating to payroll preparation and delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Ability to handle high volume data entry with accuracy, meeting tight deadlines for payroll
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with multiple employee groups
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepares, transmits, edits and distributes unionized and non-unionized payrolls
- Processes web-based records of employment
- Assists with distribution of annual T4 statements
- Corresponds and communicates with personnel and external agencies as required
- Processes employee garnishments
- Prepares and submits employee deductions (i.e. Union Dues, RRSP, Pension, etc.)
- Reconciles financial accounts
- Maintains confidentiality within and outside the organization
- Respond to internal queries regarding employees’ pay or payroll procedures.
