**Main Function**: Responsible to the Project Sponsor for the planning, coordination, and overall management of specific CGS projects.
**Characteristic Duties**: Under the general supervision of the Manager of Children Services or the Manager of Housing Stability and Homelessness.
1. Provide regular financial, schedule and project status reports to the project sponsor and key stakeholders through all phases of a project.
2. Develop, coordinate, and implement project management tools including project charter, project schedule, work breakdown scheduling, as well as stakeholder, risk, communications, quality, and transitioning plans.
3. Consult with stakeholder groups, community groups, on specific issues related to the project. Lead initiatives as required.
4. Track, document, and report on pertinent information as defined by the Project Management Plan.
6. Develop detailed plans to achieve identified service levels including investments in capital, labour, and operations.
7. Carry out project work in accordance with expectations of the Project Management Plan to deliver projects on time, on budget and to the required quality standard.
8. Coordinate the activities of project team members.
9. Ensure project work is consistent with contract documents, project objectives, regulations, and policies.
10. Coordinate and schedule, project meetings. Prepare agendas and produce minutes when necessary.
11. Identify, investigate, evaluate, and take actions necessary to mitigate project risks.
12. Develop presentation materials, relevant reports and attend public meetings as required. Liaise with affected stakeholders to discuss and resolve concerns. Mediate disputes between groups.
13. Scope, plan and execute project activities with mínimal required oversight. Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of CGS staff and project contractors as required.
14. Act as Management’s representative in the grievance process as required.
15. Responsible for the development and execution of evaluation of specific program(s) and the related data collection, management, and reporting protocols.
16. Conduct in depth analysis of programs and make recommendations for future program planning implementation.
17. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS’s Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
18. Perform other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
**Education and Training**:
- University degree in a related discipline from a recognized University with Canadian accreditation.
- Additional education initiatives to update and expand competencies.
- Project Management Training or Certification will be considered an asset.
- Program Evaluation Training or Certification will be considered an asset.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of two (2) years of directly related and responsible experience.
- Municipal and public sector experience is an asset.
- Experience in the preparation, effective management and execution of operational and capital budgets and strategic plans.
- Experience in stakeholder management and public relations is an asset.
- Experience in conducting program evaluations and/or continuous quality improvement strategies will be considered an asset.

**Education and Training**:
- College diploma in a related discipline from a recognized Community College with Canadian accreditation.
- Additional education initiatives to update and expand competencies.
- Project Management Training or Certification will be considered an asset.
- Program Evaluation Training or Certification will be considered an asset.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of four (4) years of directly related and responsible experience.
- Municipal and public sector experience is an asset.
- Experience in the preparation, effective management and execution of operational and capital budgets and strategic plans.
- Experience in stakeholder management and public relations is an asset.
- Experience in conducting program evaluations and/or continuous quality improvement strategies will be considered an asset.
**Knowledge Of**:
- Project delivery and standardized project management methods.
- Applicable legislation and related regulations, as well as CGS policies and procedures.
- Municipal financial analysis and budgeting.
- Proven ability to work with computer software systems including project and task management, scheduling, spreadsheet and word processing software.
