**Position Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist**

**Status**:PT Admin Temp

**Hours**: 37.5hrs/wk

**Salary**: $84,800.00 - $106,001.00

**What you will do**:
Under the broad direction of the Associate Director and Manager, Purchasing Services, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for:

- The effective and efficient servicing of the Purchasing requests for the College within the guidelines of the Signing Authority and Purchasing Policy & Procedures.
- Monitor Ministry of Colleges & Universities (MTCU) and Broader Public Sector (BPS) directives for compliance and update and ensure College adheres to the Purchasing Policy & Procedures and practices and ethics.
- Negotiating contracts and / or purchase orders for goods and services without prejudice following procedures outlined in the Purchasing Policy & Procedures.
- Managing the entire RFx/Tender process, i.e. meet with internal stakeholders to identify the scope/requirement, consult on the Purchasing process and related timelines, provide coaching on expected outcomes, advise, and manage complex analysis to help with the evaluation/supplier selection process.
- Negotiate and manage contracts that include development and monitoring of SLAs, KPIs, Scorecard review sessions, governance frameworks and strategic business partnerships.
- Manages highly sensitive and confidential projects that directly involve the College’s unionized staff, Senior Executives and Human Resources

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**

Bachelor's degree, specializing in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Public Administration

**Experience and Skills**
- Minimum 5yrs experience in a similar role
- Familiar with researching product information, preparing the specifications, moderating an un-biased tender process, analyzing supplier quotations, and negotiating final contracts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying procurement strategies, negotiating with external vendors, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential projects
- Able to manage purchasing activities through the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and systems
- Proven experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with a focus on financial services. This includes knowledge of sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and cost analysis.
- Experience managing a contract management database
