The Fund Development Coordinator (FDC) is responsible for developing, promoting, and maintaining fundraising initiatives, donor relations and awareness of the organization’s services in the community. The goals of this position are to annually increase Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society’s donor base, donation revenue and positive community presence through physical and virtual platforms & events. The FDC will report directly to the Executive Director.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 1 year experience in fund development and/or marketing and communications.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience with donor relations, fund development, donation tracking and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Windows 2010 Pro
- Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, women’s justice and anti-violence sector an asset.
- Strong ability to represent and uphold a public community presence in alignment with the mission & values of an anti-violence organization.
- Clean Criminal Record Check

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Fund Development**:

- Achieve and annually increase donation revenue and fundraising goals, set in collaboration with Executive Director and fiscal year budget
- Increase fundraising revenue and organization’s mission and services awareness through development and stewardship of community partner relationships
- Develop and maintain digital & physical strategies to achieve fundraising goals:

- Social channels, monthly e-newsletters, website, media/PR**, **community presentations & partnership development, events, social campaigns
- Manage tracking and import flow of all donations from multiple sources: _(Keela, Canada Helps, Paypal Giving, Online Event Platforms, Cheques, Cash)_
- Compile annual donation reports and records for Executive Director and Bookkeeper

**Donor Relations & Stewardship**:

- Manage donor tracking, retention and communication in Keela (_online donation management platform)_
- Manage online maintenance of donor records
- Oversee distribution of electronic and physical tax receipts
- Direct communication and public recognition of all major donors through website, social channels, e-newsletters and additional platforms
- Relationship management: Donor stewardship in accordance with Fund Development Plan

**Community Engagement & Communications**:

- Develop and oversee social media strategies, tactics and daily platform(s) management
- Visual content and marketing asset creation for social media channels,

e-newsletters and events, in alignment with organization’s branding and impact metrics
- Produce monthly e-newsletter to be distributed to donors, volunteers, board, staff and community subscribers
- Update and ensure maintenance of program brochures, reference materials and sponsorship proposals in alignment with organization’s branding
- Maintain organization’s website and update when necessary
- Foster opportunities in collaboration with Community Education Facilitator to a diverse range of groups including (but not limited to) community groups, educational and service clubs
- Lead annual awareness & fundraising event with support from Board, volunteers and community partners
- Develop & oversee third party fundraisers on behalf of the organization
- Keep apprised of relevant social trends for the purpose of publically representing the organization
- Maintain and grow positive media relations on behalf of the organization in collaboration with Executive Director & Community Education Facilitator
- Develop and distribute press releases for organization events, social campaigns and community initiatives
- Ensure professional conduct and a positive image for the organization, based upon current organization’s needs and impact metrics

**Organizational Role**:

- Attend work on a regular and dependable basis (hybrid in office/remote position)
- Actively support and work within the goals, policies, and procedures of the program and Society
- Participate positively and productively as a member of the team
- Accommodate changes within the program and Society
- Participate in bi-weekly team meetings
- Represent the program and Society to funders and the community in a positive and professional manner

**Cultural Competence**:

- Understand the cultural, social, and economic factors that affect decision-making when working with ethnically and culturally diverse donors and community members
- Recognize the similarities and differences in values, norms, and customs of colleagues and donors with respect to ethnicity, gender, religion, and sexual orientation
